Snoh, along with Korn Dabbaransi and former MPs of the Wang Nam Yen faction, was speaking at a press conference held at the Pracharaj Party headquarters on Vibhavadi Road.
Snoh said even though Pracharaj was a new and small party, it was ready to work for the honour of the Thai people. However, he could not confirm the number of candidates the party would field in the election.
"Politics is in crisis. We may give way in some constituencies, but we will field at least 80 party-list candidates," he said.
Snoh said he would ask Chavalit Yongchaiyudh to join the party.
Pracharaj member Chalong Riewrang, a former Nonthaburi MP, said Prachai Leophairatana had quit the party because of policy matters, not a finance problem. He also blamed the Matchima Group for being a cause of Prachai's resignation.
"Matchima has no financier since Suriya Jungrungreangkit stepped down. I sympathise with Prachai, but he was inexperienced in politics," he said. The Pracharaj Party would not welcome Prachai back, because when he left Pracharaj, he had left for good.
Prachai yesterday said he had agreed to become leader of the Matchima Thippatai Party, with Anongwan Thepsuthin as secretary-general. The party will hold a meeting and announce its executives next Monday.
He said Matchima Thippatai expected to field 120 MP candidates in the upcoming poll.
Prachai said that he would follow the campaign policies he had as chief executive of the Pracharaj Party, adding that even though he had left the party, he still respected Snoh.
Prachai and the Matchima faction resigned from Pracharaj last week.
