
Both state agencies signed the collaboration deal on Tuesday.
As part of the project, CAT granted the fund of around Bt2.7 million to the research team of assistant professor Dr. Visit Hirankitti, head of Intelligent Communication and Transportation Research Lab, Department of Computer Engineering of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, to develop the project.
The intelligent elogistics will deploy the combined geographical information system (GPS), the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), the Artificial Intelligence system, including the Code Division Multiple Access 2000 1x highspeed cellular network of CAT to enhance the logistic operation of Thailand Post.
Thailand Post's president Ormsin Chivapruck said that the project development was started three months ago and is expected to be finished within the next six months. During the test, Thailand Post will outfit its six logistic vehicles with the system out of its total over 1,000 logistic cars.
