"People seem to have more confidence after the country passed the Constitution in August," RSi Dream Entertainment managing director Boonperm Intanapasat said last week.
Many entertainment companies are starting to arrange big events. Other companies are also spending big to sponsor these shows.
According to industry insiders, the sector is not waiting for all the signs to prove an improvement but banking on sentiment to rise as the festive season nears.
RSi Dream is bringing internationally known illusionist David Copperfield to town, with Chang beer the headline sponsor.
There are seven shows between November 8 and November 11 at the Impact Arena. Each house has a capacity of 8,500 and half of the seats have been sold in advance. Boonperm said revenues were tipped at Bt80 million over expenses of Bt60 million.
RSi Dream has attracted other sponsors, including Coke, Siam Commercial Bank and Muang Thai Life Assurance.
The Copperfield show is the company's third big event this year. The others were the All Star Hero Festival between March 16 and April 8 and Christina Aguilera back in June.
Boonperm said the company was analysing trends before it determines its activities next year.
However, trends emerging as strong crowd-pullers are sports and teen events. There are the SEA Games 2007 in Nakhon Ratchasima in December, followed by the Uefa European Championships and the Beijing Olympics next year.
Boonperm said Thailand was entering the digital era and this attracted teenagers and businesses keen to be associated with the latest trend.
