KIATISAK SENAMUANG wants to leave his mark.
Kiatisak, who will be ending his glittering national career, has served the team splendidly for many years, establishing Thailand as a dominant regional force.
Zico, one of the most prolific strikers the country has ever produced, hopes to say his farewells to the fans in a befitting manner by scoring a goal.
"I'm delighted and feel honoured that they are holding this match as a testimonial for me," said Kiatisak, who is held high in esteem for his on- and off-field behaviour.
"This match is a perfect denouement to my national career. I don't mind how many minutes I play in the game. It's up to the coach.
"If I get a chance, I will try to score as it would be a perfect message to the fans who have long been supporting me. I hope people can watch me perform somersaults, my traditional goal-scoring celebration, as I'd really love to do it in my last appearance," said Kiatisak, who is a role model to young people.
Chanvit Pholchivin, the national coach, said Thailand would play an offensive game, as they would also do in the World Cup first qualifying round home leg against Macau on Monday.
"We need to be aggressive, as we are at home. This game offers an opportunity to assess our tactics and the players. I want to field two teams for each half, as I want to preserve the lads. Zico will get his chance in the second half to see out the game and his career," he said.
Kittiratt Na Ranong, the team manager, will present Kiatisak with Bt1 million for his contribution over the 15 years he has been in the national team.
The game between Thailand and the UAE kicks off at 8pm at Supachalasai Stadium.
