SET ends up 0.82%

Thai shares ended up 0.82 per cent on Monday on buying spree in energy stocks as global energy prices remain high.

The SET index was in volatility trading day. It reached intraday's trough at 842.98 and intraday's high at 855.35 before closing at 852.47. Turnover was thin at Bt16.08 billion.

Thai Oil Plc (TOP) rose 3.5 per cent at Bt89, PTT Plc (PTT) surged 0.6 per cent at Bt338, Siam Cement Plc (SCC) was up 4.7 per cent at Bt266, and Bangkok Bank (BBL) was flat at Bt116.
