The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in September rose 2.1 per cent year-on-year, due to the increasing oil and also foods and beverage prices, according to the Commerce Ministry.
The ministry's permanent secretary Siripol Yodmuangcharoen said on Monday that the CPI also surged 2 per cent year-on-year during the first nine months. But he expects that the full-year figure will not exceed 2.5 per cent.
