Exclusive photos of Burma's crackdown

Exclusive photo that purportedly show a moment when a Japanese was killed during an army crackdown on protesters in the Burmese capital.

The Nation has received a series of photos that purportedly show final moments of a Japanese killed during troops' crackdown on pro-democracy demonstrators in the Burmese capital. Out of respect for family, relatives and friends of the man in the photos, we decide to run just one of them, and with his lying body cropped out.

In another picture, the man, who appeared like a Japanese, has apparently just fallen to the ground after a close encounter with the soldier in this shown picture. The cropped part of this picture shows him laying on his back as the soldier turned his attention to pursuing the Burmese protesters.
