SET ends up marginally

Thai shares closed 0.29 per cent higher on Friday, boosted by buying spree in energy stocks as oil price is approaching its historic peak.



The SET index was in volatility trading day. It peaked at 894.74 points before weakening to end the day at 845.50. Turnover was moderate at Bt21.79 billion.

 PTT Exploration and Production Plc (PTTEP) rose 0.74 per cent at Bt136, Aromatics (Thailand) Plc (ATC) went up 2.72 per cent at Bt75.50, Rayong Refiner Plc (RRC) surged 0.99 per cent at Bt25.50, PTT Plc (PTT) edged up 0.60 per cent at Bt336 and Bangkok Bank (BBL) was off 0.85 per cent at Bt116.
