Glow handles diesel leak

Glow Energy Plc has contracted specialists to assist the company with the clean up of diesel leaked into the discharge canal of the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate.

In a statement, the company also initiated a cause analysis programme to find out how the leak happened to prevent future incidents.

"Glow reiterates that it takes very seriously its responsibility towards the local community and environment. This is the first time that such an incident has taken place and the company regrets that such an event could take place."

On Thursday, a volume of diesel was leaked and blockades were set up to prevent the oil from flowing into the sea and measures were taken to remove the oil from the canal, the company said. - The Nation
