Sombat named new Egat govenror
The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand's board of directors on Friday approved the appointment of Sombat Santijaree as the new governor.
Sombaht won the highest mark from the selection committee and his name would be forwarded to the Cabinet for approval.
Sombat, now a deputy governor on power generating, will succeed Kraisri Karnasutr whose term would end on November 11.
Sombat, 57, has been a long-time employee of the state utility.
