The World University Games gold medalist fired a total of nine aces and 18 winners in the match which was clocked at one hour and 26 minutes to score their first match win in the home tournament.

"The key was we maintained our standard throughout the match. They was some moment that they returned so well but we kept up with the good serves,'' said Sanchai, the young twin.

"I used to play Skoch in Chennai but that time Paradorn (Srichaphan) was my partner. I know his good and weak points. Obviously they have more experience than we do. So our job is  to maintain our level," said  Sonchat who reached two back-to-back ATP semi-finals in New Port and  Los Angeles this year.- Lerpong Amsa-Ngiam - The Nation
