The i-Karaoke is an add-on accessory that will add much more fun for owners of portable DVD players such as the NextBase SDV485.

It allows owners of portable DVD players to sing karaoke on the go.

Portable DVD players usually have no karaoke feature because they lack a microphone input.

This could be fixed by i-Karaoke, also from NextBase. The i-Karaoke, which looks like just a microphone, is actually a portable digital video player that plays the DivX video format.

he DivX video files must be stored on the secure digital card provided, which plugs into the base of the microphone. The i-Karaoke comes with a two-gigabye SD card, which can hold up to 65 karaoke video files in the compressed DivX format, so the i-Karaoke system can provide hours of singing fun.

The i-Karaoke can be powered with batteries or an AC-DC adaptor. Using batteries makes the portable karaoke player more convenient to use.

The i-Karaoke comes with a 5.5-metre-long audio/video cable that can plug into a NextBase portable DVD player or a normal television. It outputs composite video and stereo channels to a television or portable DVD player.

The player has a built-in microphone and digital pre-amp mixer. It has a button for selecting audio channels to alter vocals during karaoke singing.
