Samak and the executive members will today visit Nakhon Ratchasima and Buri Ram provinces.

Nisit Sinthuprai, a party executive member said today's events would be the start of the election campaign, adding that PPP plans to hold rallies in 19 provinces in the Northeast, the North and central region.

"We will kick off with our first speeches in Buri Ram because we have already set candidates for those constituencies. The party's executive members are still considering candidates for other provinces," he said.

PPP member Suthin Klansaeng said Samak told members that he did not want key figures to force people to attend the rallies, in order to prevent criticism from rivals.

Paijit Sriworakhan, another executive member said he believed Chalerm Yoobamrung would assist the party's campaign in the Northeast.

He said the party members had asked Chalerm to make a speech, to which Chalerm agreed.

"He told us that he would be happy to address people in Isaan. He said he was always impressed when he visited the Northeast," said Paijit.
