LOFT to expand more branches by next year

Japanese-speciality store LOFT plans to invest up to Bt500 million to open its two new branches in Bangkok next year after celebrating its 10ht anniversary of its first branch at Siam Discovery this year.



Mayuree Chaipromprasith, an executive committee of BIHC Trading Co Ltd, who got exclusive operator LOFT in Thailand, said that the company will open its two new branches in the second quarter of next year and the second half of next year respectively.

"We cannot say now the new branch location but it is going on negotiation process with land owner," she said.

However, the new shop will has retail space between 800 square meters to 1,000 square meters that will invest for inte¬rior design up to Bt20,000 per square meter. That means the company will spend the budg¬et for interior design between Bt160 million to Bt200 million per branch. The company also has stock products of up to 30,000 items worth Bt30 million per branch.

That means the company has to invest nearly Bt500 million for open two new branches in the next year, she said.
