The competition was divided into two categories - high-school students (Mathayom 4 to 6 or equivalent); undergraduate students or students aged 25 or under.
Short-listed designs were put on the British Council website for votes. The criteria for winning were creativity, how the design reflects British innovation and modernity, how it communicates its message to the audience and the relevance of the strapline.
Votes accounted for 50 per cent of the total marks. The remainder was awarded on the basis of an interview during which candidates had to make a presentation of their design to a judging panel comprised of British Council Thailand staff, the Education UK Brand Team and British alumni.
The top prize was won by Christopher Potel, Mathayom 6 from Assumption College, for his "Cultural Wheel of Fortune" and by Sompob Tangsri for the "Way to Succeed". The winners were each awarded a free trip to Britain.
