Wijit said recently the ministry would rush to submit the policies to the Cabinet before the elections to secure this government's approval, and then request the next cabinet to enact them.
The policies include developing quality education in Thailand, with concrete
details to be provided to the prime minister this month; addressing small schools'
lack of teachers; seeking knowledge in terms of both quality and quantity by preparing students with both
vocational and college education for the service and industrial sectors; and forming strategies to develop education in the southern border provinces.
Wijit said he expected the last three items to be concluded in October.
The Education Minister distributed the policies to 2,000 directors and deputy directors from different educational areas nationwide at a seminar of education administrators at Bitec on Saturday.
