Highlight of the week: PM to submit military reshuffle

Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont will submit the annual military reshuffle list for a royal command this week. The list was forwarded to the premier last week amid rumours that it might be changed at the last minute. Surayud said he would not make any changes.



Pracharaj to choose new leader

The Pracharaj Party will hold an annual convention to choose new executives and a leader on Thursday to prepare for registration with the Election Commission after it revamps as the Pua Paendin (For the Motherland) Party following a merger with other groups.

Chavalit set to reveal political plans

Former prime minister Chavalit Yongchaiyudh attends a seminar on Wednesday to make a speech one year after the coup. He is expected to clarify whether he will join the Ruam Jai Thai Chat Pattana group. Chat Thai Party leader Banharn Silapa-archa will lead his members to seek support in Khon Kaen.

People Power exhibition in city

The People Power Party will hold an exhibition at Bangkok's Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre this weekend. It will explain its policies to members and seek to recruit new members. Party leader Samak Sundaravej will make a speech.
