MOF to propose Currency Act to Cabinet tomorrow

Finance Minister Chalongphob Sussangkarn said on Monday the ministry aims to propose the revision of the Currency Act to the Cabinet again tomorrow.

He is confident that the draft will be approved by the Cabinet as well as the National Legislative Assembly (NLA).

Earlier, he had pulled out the draft from the NLA consideration due to concerning that the right-wing members would vote out the draft.

If the Cabinet approved the draft tomorrow, the draft will be proposed to NLA on Wednesday along with the Financial Institution Business Act. - The Nation
