TOT executive vice president Chakree Subprawong said the company would procure a fibre-optic network worth Bt400 million for the project without calling for bids in order to speed up installation, given that the complex was to open partially in April.
Dhanarak, which is developing the office complex, will install the cable system in the buildings at a cost of Bt150 million.
TOT will provide 30,000 phone numbers to the complex and charge the government agencies based there a flat rate of Bt2 per call to local fixed-line networks and Bt2 per minute to local mobile-phone networks. TOT and Dhanarak will share revenue from the network 70:30, Chakree said.
A TOT source said the company expected revenue of Bt1.3 billion from the project over seven years.
When completed, the office complex will house 28 government agencies on 297 rai. Dhanarak had earlier planned to award the deal to CAT Telecom. It plans to allow the other companies and state telecom agencies to provide wireless services at the centre in future.
