The expenses included surgery for wounds until she was fully recovered.
On Sunday, Anchira Prawettrakulchai, an Assumption University freshman, threw hot water on the face of Sumaporn Laikra, a senior at Ban Somdet Chaophraya Rajabhat University, inside a convenience store.
Anchira, who was charged with physical assault by police on Thursday, denied guilt and reserved her right to testify only in court, police said.
Yesterday at 2pm, the parties met for half an hour at Bang Yi Reu Police Station with Maj Gen Waranwat Karunyathach, commander of Metropolitan Police Division 8, acting as a witness.
The victim's father, Manas, said he was satisfied that Anchira's father, Pol Col Supachai, agreed to pick up the medical bill, but they had not touched on compensation yet.
But his side would not ask for much as Supachai showed a good sense of responsibility, contrary to what he had expected.
Supachai apologised for his comment to a TV news reporter that the injured person had stolen a mobile phone and used to study at the same school as his daughter, saying it was a misunderstanding.
He said his daughter confessed the attack to him but insisted she did not brag about having a sociallysignificant father, as was reported. He said this incident sprang from a teenager's hot temper.
Waranwat, the division commander, said the meeting had nothing to do with the case, as it would proceed as a criminal matter. Now investigators would inspect the victim's wounds and interview store clerks before their report would be completed and submitted to public prosecutors.
