SET closes up 0.64%

Thai shares closed up 0.64 per cent on Thursday, propelled by gains in energy stocks after oil prices hit record high.

The SET index at one point reached the intraday's high of 808.51. Turnover was thin at Bt9.88 billion.

PTT Plc (PTT) was up 1.9 per cent at Bt320, Thai Oil Plc (TOP) rose 0.6 per cent at Bt79, Bangkok Bank (BBL) was unchanged at Bt114, Kasikornbank (KBANK) rose 0.5 per cent at Bt75, and Rayong Refinery Plc (RRC) increased 1.7 per cent at Bt23.40.
