SET ends up 0.59%

Thai shares ended 0.59 per cent higher on Tuesday after Wall Street's gain overnight.

The SET index was in volatility sessions. Its started the day with a strong gain before plunging below the 800-psychological level and recovering to close the market at 801.54. Turnover was thin at Bt12.70 billion.

Banpu Plc (BANPU) jumped 4.08 per cent to Bt306, PTT Plc (PTT) was up 0.64 per cent at Bt314, EMC Plc (EMC) was off 14.13 per cent at Bt3.16, Thai Oil Plc (TOP) surged 0.64 per cent at Bt79, and PTT Exploration and production Plc (PTTEP) rose 3.31 per cent at Bt125.
