Air-India Express, a subsidiary of Air-India, will begin its flight between Calcutta and Bangkok from October 7, V Thulasidas, chairman and managing director of Air India, said at NSC Bose Airport last week, The Statesman reported.
The frequencies and other details will be announced soon, he said. Boeing-737-800 aircraft will be operated on these routes.

Once the hub is chosen, the airline will fly to different places in Europe and the US from there. A-I is trying to tie up with European airlines for operations from the European hub. A-I's fleet will fly to this hub.
Once the hub and the partner airline are decided, eight flights will go to the European hub from India daily.
