Transport's profit guaranteed at Bt500 mn

Transport Co Ltd's newly appointed president Wutthichart Kalayanamitr vowed to boost the company's profit in the bid to maintain it as a performing state enterprise.

On his first day in office, Wutthichart said on Monday that Transport's net profit would be at least Bt500 million a year.

"During my 4-year term, the revenue is guaranteed at at least Bt2 billion. To achieve the goal, we need to the adjust the fleet management to better respond to demand as well as safety of the buses owned by the company as well as private operators," he said.

Accidents are targetted to fall to zero per cent.
