At home I fold my laundry, which is bending one part of it so that it covers another part, and from time to time asking my husband to help fold the sheets. However, the folding of clothes is totally different from when a business folds because it means that the business stops operating or closes because of failure as mentioned in the headline in the first paragraph.

Sam opened a restaurant on High Street earlier this year but the service was so bad that it folded six months later.

Apart from handkerchiefs, blankets, letters etc, one can also fold their limbs or something else around an object. For me, I enjoy folding my arms around my son's chubby body.

We like going camping, so it is very handy to have foldaway chairs because they can be folded into small shapes and are easy to store. You can also use "fold-up" for this meaning.
