Designers or architects looking for some tools to help extract a masterpiece from their brains could perhaps find what they are looking for at a new store called Good Job in Siam Discovery Centre. The store offers design supplies and stationery from abroad as well as a unique collection of leather accessories.

First opened in 1997 on Soi Thonglor by architect-designer Sujin Osatarayakul, 42, she offered a unique selection of design supplies and stationery imported from the US, UK, Germany, Korea and Japan. The store's main outlet was the annual architecture fair. "Originally I just wanted to provide essential tools for architects and designers that couldn't be found in Thailand," Sujin says.

Two years ago, Good Job branched out and became more widely known after showcasing its own line of goods made from PVC and leather at the 2005 Bangkok International Gift and Houseware Fair (BIG+BIH).

The store relocated to Siam Discovery Centre in June 2006, and enlarged its target market to include any shopper who loves products with cool designs.

"I wanted to produce supplies of my own design and sell them at reasonable prices," Sujin says. "Our designs focus on function, worth and beauty."

Like the old store, there's still a pile of imported stationery supplies, such as German clutch pencils, Copic's pens from Japan and water colour pencils from the UK, along with other imported items like foam boards, paint brushes, sketch papers, colour papers, chalk-stick holders, calculators and 50-year calendars.

Good Job's products are also available at Playground, The Emporium and Paragon department stores, the Thailand Creative and Design Centre and True Shop in Siam Paragon.

Good Job will show its latest collection at the 2007 Bangkok International Gift and Houseware Fair (BIG+BIH) in October.
