SET closes 0.49% higher

Despite the Bank of Thailand's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC)'s move to maintain the 1-day repurchase rate, Thai shares ended 0.49 per cent higher on Wednesday.

The SET index reversed intraday losses to close higher at 792.04. Turnover was thin at Bt12.7 billion.

PTT Plc was up 1.4 per cent at Bt290, Bank of Ayudhya (BAY) went down 2.8 per cent at Bt25.75, Siam Cement Plc (SCC) rose 1.7 per cent at Bt244, and Thai Oil Plc (TOP) increased 1.3 per cent at Bt78.]
