Indeed, the human mind is the all-powerful source and gives shape to how others perceive you... powerful or weak. Your mind is, perhaps, the most powerful tool you have.
So many times I've heard people say, "What can I do? I am only one person". That is just an excuse for doing nothing.
Can one person change the world? Yes, especially if he or she believes it strongly enough. Look at the Lord Buddha, Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King and so many other individuals who have changed the world for the better. Of course, there have been many others who have used their personal power to change the world for the worse.
Tolstoy wrote, "Many people think about changing the world, but few think of changing themselves."
The self - that's where all the change begins - within the heart and mind of one individual which then expands outwards to include others within their sphere of influence. It is like a spiralling cycle.
So many times we give our personal power over to others without even realising it. Every time you allow someone else to "make you angry", you are giving them control over your emotions and life. You are letting them live in your head rent-free. How silly is that? Yet, most of us do it.
Determine what you want to accomplish in life, believe in yourself and your ability to accomplish it, then go after it. With talent, strength, persistence and belief, there is nothing you cannot accomplish. Believe it and you will see it!
