Life at SathiraDhammasathan

The 20th anniversary of one of the most famous meditation retreat centres in Bangkok - SathiraDhammasathan - is being marked by the publication of "A Noble Mission", which outlines the inspiration, concepts and work behind the centre. The book also celebrates the 27yearlong vocation of Buddhist nun Sansanee Sathirasuta, who founded the centre and learning community, providing a variety of programmes for people of all ages, genders and walks of life.

The fullcolour book is Bt2,000 (add Bt100 for postal delivery). Part of the proceeds will go towards women's dharma education at the centre.

Donation for earthquake victims

The powerful series of earthquakes that hit Peru earlier this month have left 500 dead and many more injured.  The Embassy of the Republic of Peru in Bangkok would greatly appreciate any donations to relieve the plight of the victims.
