SET ends flat

The Thai stock market on Monday ended flat as early gain succumbed to profit-taking.

The SET index started the day with a rise and headed further north to test the 800-barrier level before profit-taking reduced the strong gain. The stock market closed 0.06 per cent higher at 791.17. Turnover was thin at Bt11.21 billion.

PTT Plc (PTT) fell 0.69 per cent at Bt288, Bank of Ayudhya-warrant rose 2.86 per cent at Bt14.50, PTT Exploration and Production Plc (PTTEP) was up 0.88 per cent at Bt114, Bank of Ayudhya (BAY) surged 1.90 per cent at Bt26.75 and Siam Cement Plc (SCC) lost 1.64 per cent at Bt240.
