Thai toy to pick up in second half

Due to higher global demand and more reliable Thai products than that produced in China, the Thai toy market is likely to pick up in the second half of this year, according to Kasikorn Research Centre.

The leading think tank reported the Thai toy market had experienced many negative factors in the first half of this year including political uncertainties, stronger baht, and oil price hike that affected producers' costs.

In addition, the United States, which is one of the major export destinations, had experienced the economic woes and imported the product in a less amount from Thailand. - The Nation
