The 21st flower show, presided over by Her Royal Highness Princess Srirasmi, was based on the theme "Celebrating a Tradition of Beauty and Creativity". The entire lobby floor was decorated with the beautifully coloured and fragrant arrangements of florists and celebrities.

Famous florist Sakchai Guy created a wonderful flower-decorated carpet and tunnel while Sakul Intakul presented architec-ture-like blossoms.

ML Poomjai Jumpol came up with conceptual piece, displaying a bench with a bouquet that conveyed a message a waiting in vain. Other participating celebrities were Tinakorn Asvarak, Jitra Kornantakiat, Meechai Tesujareeya, Krisanaraj Jindawongse and Naphalai Areesorn.

Prof Rapee Sakrik, fondly known as the father of Thai orchids, decorated the hotel's garden wing with different kinds of orchids and also conducted an orchid planting demonstration.

On the second floor, 18 Japanese florists presented three Japanese-style flower arrangements in ikebana, ikebono and sogetsu styles.

Other members of the hi-so set took part in a celebrity dog show. Among those spotted on stage with their bright-eyed pooches were Eakachai Jinakreung, Uttasit Dumrongrat, Sumanee Kunakasem, Ausana Mahakitsiri, Thitinan Kiatphaibool and VJ Virithipa "Woonsen" Pakdeeprasong.

The four-day event featured a wealth of activities including a wine dinner, a gala dinner, flower buffet lunch, afternoon tea and various flower arrangement workshops by famous designers. The proceeds were donated to the Kidney Foundation of Thailand.
