Thai market down 6.74pts in morning trade

The Thai market opened lower on Friday, with the main index down 6.94 points as of 10.45am.

The index stood at 784.56 points on turnover of Bt2.4 billion. PTT was the most active stock down 1.39 per cent to Bt284, while PTT Exploration and Production was flat at Bt112. Thoresen Thai Agencies was down 1.05 per cent to Bt47.25, while Siam2You was up 5.33 per cent to Bt1.58.

Analysts expected the US sub-prime lending fiasco to have a lingering effect on the Thai bourse for another month.
