Teams sought for World Robocup Rescue Robot contest

The competition, with an award of more than Bt650,000 in scholarships, is supported by the Siam Cement Group in cooperation with the Thai Robotics Society and King Mongkut University of Technology, Thonburi.

Applications will only be accepted from vocational or university undergrads or graduate students. Each team should consist of three students and a professor as advisor. The winning team will be awarded a Bt200,000 scholarship and will represent Thailand in the World Robocup Rescue 2008 in Xuzhou, China. The first runner-up will receive Bt100,000, while teams winning in the Best Technique and the Best Creativity categories will get Bt50,000 each. The first round of competition will be held in October.
