7-mth auto exports up 19%

Auto exports in the first seven months of this year reached 363,315 units, up 19.45 per cent from the same period last year, according to the Federation of Thai Industries.

The export value was Bt159.2 billion, up 17.45 per cent year on year.

In the period, a total number of 706,749 units were manufactured, an increase of 2.25 per cent. While the number of units for export rose 20.56 per cent year on year, the domestic-oriented production dropped 12.43 per cent.
