Forecast of export volume growth revised

The Fiscal Policy Office revised down the forecast growth of export volume this year to 6.5 per cent from the previous 8.1 per cent in response to the stronger baht.

The office's director general Pannee Sathawarodom said on Thursday that however the office has maintained the forecast GDP growth of 4 per cent this year, given that the affect of the July export's smaller growth on the economy would be offset by the state spending and domestic consumption and private sector investment.
