Werder Bremen move for Czech striker Fenin

Prague - German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen are close to signing the young Czech striker Martin Fenin, Czech newspapers reported Wednesday.

Talks between officials of Bremen and Fenin's club FK Teplice will take at the Wednesday evening friendly international between Austria and the Czech Republic.

Fenin, 20, could make his international debut at the game.

Pravo newspaper quoted Fenin's adviser, Pavel Zika, as saying the striker was interested in joining Bremen and that an agreement would probably be reached.

Fenin impressed when scoring three goals at the recent under-20 world championships.

Meanwhile Bremen new signing Carlos Alberto is undergoing a hospital examination after complaining of dizziness.

The 22-year-old Brazilian felt unwell during training. After initial tests it had been decided to admit Alberto to hospital for a thorough examination.
