Henin extends lead in WTA rankings - Kuznetsova climbs to fourth

Hamburg (dpa) - Justine Henin of Belgium increased her lead at the top of the women's tennis rankings issued on Monday by the WTA, while Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia moved back up to fourth.



 

  Henin, the French Open champion, improves to 4,887 points ahead of Russia's Maria Sharapova, who is unchanged on 3,845, and Jelena Jankovic of Serbia, who improves slightly to 3,429.

Kuzntsova advances to fourth, switching places with Ana Ivanovic of Serbia.

 WTA top 10 as of August 20 (previous ranking in parenthesis): 1. (1) Justine Henin, Belgium, 4,887 points; 2. (2) Maria Sharapova, Russia, 3,845; 3. (3) Jelena Jankovic, Serbia, 3,429; 4.
