Nestle unveils ice cream shop franchise

Nestle (Thai) Co Ltd will launch the ice cream shops concept, aiming to expand sale of its Nestle ice cream products.

The shops, based on the famous Sala Foremost concept, which was taken out of the Thai market 10 years ago, will be opened nationwide under a free-of-charge franchise system, said Olivier Jakubowicz, channel manager  food service channel, ice cream, Nestle (Thai) Co Ltd.

Small investors are being lured to open the shops. Jakubowicz said that individual investors would have initial investment of only Bt5,000 and Nestle would provide products and all necessary equipment and accessories to run the business. They included 12 boxes of Nestle ice cream, one ice cream scoop, and six glasses. Nestle meanwhile provides all equipment such as refrigerator (under the borrowing contract), and all instore materials to the franchisees for free of charge.
