SCC signs joint venture with Kubota Corp

Siam Cement said in its statement submitted to the Stock Exchange of Thailand on Monday that it has reached a joint venture agreement with Kubota Corporation (of Japan) on Monday to manufacture agricultural tractors in Thailand.



The joint venture will have a registered capital of Bt1.1 billion and SCC will hold a 40-per-cent stake, while Kubota Corporation will hold the remaining 60-per-cent stake.

This joint venture is an extenstion of the collaborative efforts between SCC and Kubota Corp which was started 30 years ago as Siam Kubota which produced agricultural machinery, SCC currently holds a 40-per-cent stake, while Kubota Corporation (of Japan) holds 51 per cent of stake. - The Nation
