Wannipa Nitisrivorakul, senior manager of the American brand for Jockey Group - part of Central Garment Factory - said yesterday Jox boxer shorts and underwear, vests and casual wear would be sold through the modern trade channel only, starting with Big C Supercentre. She declined to reveal Jox's price range.
Jockey's first-half sales grew slower than expected - 10 per cent instead of 15 per cent - even though the company has been trying to adjust its strategy to fit with the economic slowdown, she said.
It has increased product variety and arranged more marketing activities and promotions at its sales points in shopping malls.
Jockey enjoys 30 per cent of the men's premium underwear segment, which accounts for 25 per cent of the overall Bt2.5-billion market.
