Demco's Q2 profit up 77%

Demco Plc, a power station contractor, shows a 76.82 per cent increase in its second-quarter net profit, expecting the growth pace to continue next year.

During the 3-month period, its net profit was Bt51.42 million, from Bt29.08 million in the year earlier, on top of Bt906 million in revenue which rose 132.86 per cent from the same period last year.

Its six-month net profit reached Bt83.12 million, up 62.27 per cent year on year from Bt31.90 million.

Paitoon Kamchai, executive vice president for finance attributed the improved performance to the rush to complete power stations during May and June, to prepare for new biddings in the third and fourth quarters.
