Knowledge is power... sometimes

Panpree Pahitthanukorn, the former Thai Rak Thai strategist (and there's something you might not want on your resume), says it's unlikely that he'll return to politics anytime soon.

Published on August 13, 2007

"I've temporarily suspended myself from politics because it's still in chaos," he told an interviewer recently.

He denied a rumour that he was in fact planning to set up a new political party, but none of this means that he's completely inactive.

As Soopsip noted previously, Panpree has his own website so that he can be a Thai virtually loving Thais, even if the government thinks he shouldn't.

He does still use the older modes of communication, though, since folks are always seeking his expert opinion on the new draft constitution.

"I'm often asked by the people around me to tell them about the new charter," and that, he says, includes his maids at home, who want to know what the difference is between this one and the old one.

Good question!
