Prat Boonyawongvirote, Public Health permanent secretary, said yesterday the 14 pieces of equipment would go to the Pattani, Mayor, Yala, Betong, Narathiwat Ratchanakarin, Sungai Kolok and Maharat Nakhon Si Thammarat hospitals.
The equipment is the second batch funded by the Bt39 million raised from the Crown Prince's Chiang Mai charity flight earlier this year, he said.
The hospitals' staff and communities appreciated the royal assistance to upgrade medical treatment, especially for severely wounded victims of the ongoing unrest, and mother-child care, he said.
