The Meteorological Depart-ment said the storm had been downgraded to an active low-pressure cell as it passed over Mae Hong Son and Burma on its way to the upper Bay of Bengal.
With continuing rains predicted for the North, Central and West regions, Tak, Kanchana-buri and Uthai Thani should brace for floods. Small boats have been advised not to venture into the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand today due to waves of two to three metres.
Si Sa Ket Governor Kongkiart Akkaraprasert said 19,033 families and more than 3,000 rai of farmland in seven districts were affected by floods, which are gradually subsiding.

Khun Han district was the worst hit with 4,500 families affected, one death and two persons missing. The damage is being assessed so that the provincial government can provide assistance.
Anubal Khun Han School will reopen today and 15 more schools on Tuesday, he added.
Days of rain have flooded Ban Tha Chang Khlong village in Loei's Pha Khao district, affecting 40 families and hundreds of rai of farmland. As mountain run off may trigger flash-floods and mudslides, local authorities have been put on a 24-hour watch.
Ubon Ratchathani deputy governor Pramote Sajjarak said more than 4,700 houses in six districts and more than 15,000 rai were swamped.
Residents of four districts near the Phanomdongrak mountain range were also warned of mudslides.
