Three existing hotels in Bangkok and Phuket will be rebranded as All Seasons in October.
The 159-room Gold Orchid Bangkok on Vibhavadi-Rangsit Road, near the newly reopened Don Mueang Airport, will become the All Seasons Gold Orchid Bangkok.
The 110-room King's Hotel on South Sathorn Road between the Australian and French embassies will be upgraded to All Seasons Sathorn Bangkok.
The 154-room Sabana Resort, with easy beach access and only 45 minutes away from Phuket Airport, will be called All Seasons Nai Harn Phuket.
Accor Asia-Pacific managing director Michael Issenberg yesterday said the All Seasons brand had an important role to play in addressing the shortage of international-quality economy and mid-market hotel rooms in the Kingdom.
The first All Seasons was introduced here late last December.
"Thailand's tourism sector recorded more than 20-per-cent growth in visitor arrivals last year, and with Bangkok becoming a major hub for low-cost air carriers, there's a clear need for additional affordable international-standard accommodation," he said.
All Seasons is positioned above Accor's Ibis brand but still offers affordable rates for an international-hotel brand, he said.
The brand has been well received in the Pacific and, more recently, Asian resort destinations like Pattaya and Bali, which is very encouraging for the new expansion in Thailand.
"The hotels will target the business and leisure markets, and their guaranteed consistency will help fill a vacuum in the marketplace," he added.
With 14 hotels under development around the Kingdom, including four more in the next two months, Accor will build its network from 30 now to more than 50 by the end of 2009.
