SET ended 2.34% lower

Thai shares closed 2.38 per cent lower on resurgence of risk aversion sparked by news that BNP Paribas had suspended redemption for its 3 funds and an anxiety over withdrawal of the less restricted Foreign Business Act from National Legistative Assembly.



The SET index ended the day at 811.83, off intraday's low at 811.82. Turnover was moderate at Bt21.57 million.

Thai Oil Plc (TOP) was down 3.8 per cent at Bt76, PTT Plc (PTT) climbed down 3.3 per cent at Bt294, and PTT Exploration and Production Plc (PTTEP) slumped 4.1 per cent at Bt117.
