Vocational students focused more on alternative energy

The Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency Department has successfully promote alternative energy conservation as non-compulsory subjects in the curriculum of 60 vacational schools nationwide.



This year, the subjects have secured over 5,000 students, up from 2,035 last year.

 The department's director-general Panich Pongpirodom said this year the department has trained a number of 240 teachers.

 He said this year, the department plans to increase the ratio of alternative energy consumption to 8 per cent of total energy consumption. Last year, the ratio was 4 per cent.
