BOT : Most foreign funds remain in Thai market
Suchart Sakkankosone, director of Exchange Control and Credit Department from Bank of Thailand, said on Thursday that the outstanding amount of the non-resident baht account for securities (SNS) as of August 6 was recorded at Bt10 billion, rising from Bt6-7 billion recorded two weeks earlier.
He said the level of the baht in SNS is still considered normal.
Suchart believes most of the proceeds from earlier sell-off from the Stock Exchange of Thailand by foreign investors are still in Thai market, although small part of it has flown out of the country. - The Nation
