Doucoure leads 54 French athletes to worlds

Paris (dpa) - Defending 100 metres hurdles champion Ladji Doucoure will lead a 54-strong French team for the upcoming world athletics championships in Osaka, the ruling body IAAF said on Monday.



The team heading for Japan also includes 2005 heptathlon silver medallist Eunice Barber, two-time sprint bronze medallist Christine Arron, and European champions Mahdi Baala (1,500m) and Yohann Diniz (50km walk).

 The world championships are scheduled for August 25-September 2.
